LET’S GET WEIRD: David Lynch Launches A Music Festival

A director, screenwriter, visual artist, musician, actor, author… or just an overall superhuman is what best describes David Lynch. A surrealist vision, Lynch is not done with us just yet: enter Festival of Disruption, a music festival that David Lynch is bringing to Los Angeles’ Ace Theatre Hotel in October. The lineup features his all star friends such as Questlove, Rhye, Sky Ferreira and more over a two-day timespan (October 8thand 9th, 2016). But that’s not all: stars Kyle MacLachlan and Laura Dern of Twin Peaks will be giving talks during the festival along with Mel Brooks.

Other than the music, photography exhibits from Lynch himself and Chris Stein will be on display along with virtual reality experiences and “a new dance piece.” Screenings of rarely seen Lynch sort films and classics, daily transcendental meditation sessions and more will be included as well within the jam-packed 48 hours of top tier entertainment.

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 24th at 10:00 AM PST. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the David Lynch Foundation, whose mission is reducing toxic stress and trauma among at-risk populations, including victims of domestic violence, veterans suffering from PTSD and underserved urban youth through the evidence-based transcendental meditation.
