Carl Jung developed the concept of a collective unconscious of which we are all a part. We share in memories, ideas, myths, and symbols that have been a part of us since the dawn of humanity. Jung recognized archetypes, or universal motifs, that permeate the collective unconscious and present themselves as characters in our dreams and in our culture. In this editorial Parker Day interprets some of the more salient archetypes.
